Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)
Reporting to the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO), The Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) manages the development and implementation of programs and services that promote diversity within the Dollar Tree organization. You are responsible for measuring and monitoring company diversity, developing new programs and practices that effectively increase diversity, and provide support to various divisions within the organization.
You will direct the design and implementation of Dollar Tree's company-wide D&I strategies, programs, and initiatives in partnership with the CDO. You will also be responsible for tracking and reporting D&I metrics and progress while working cross-functionally with Human Resources functions, COE�??s and with senior leaders across the organization to support D&I objectives and create a diverse and inclusive workplace that attracts and retains a diverse population.

  • Lead ERG / BRG program development
  • Taking consultative and collaborate approach with leaders to drive results
Roles Responsibilities
  • Serve as a D&I consultant to divisional leaders on D&I strategies across all business functions
  • Align D&I strategies and priorities to support companywide goals and objectives
  • Deliver impactful solutions and interventions for opportunities stemming from D&I related matters
  • Develop ERG program structure and governance to align efforts with company objectives
  • Develop communication strategy and key messaging internally and externally.
  • Design and produce communication deliverable in partnership with Communication�??s team leader.
  • Represent Dollar Tree externally in matters related to D&I.
  • Serve as a strong voice for inclusion and diversity at Dollar Tree across multiple stakeholders partnering effectively and regularly with aligned internal partners.

HR Processes and Practices:
  • Partner closely with HR functional leaders to identify opportunities to integrate concepts of diversity and inclusion into existing programs, policies and practices in areas such as hiring, learning, compensation, performance management.
  • Partner with Legal and HR on matters pertaining to diversity compliance and reporting.
  • Recommends improvements in recruitment and employee programs to ensure compliance with diversity/EEO goals and regulations.
  • Drive leadership awareness and accountability for progress by providing regular data insights to leaders that drive results.
  • Build leader and HR understanding of D&I and best practices by providing industry insights
  • Identify and build relationships with industry leaders, consultants & partners to apply best practices.
  • Compiling and reporting diversity statistics to employees, top management, and public/government agencies. Monitors compliance efforts and partners with HR colleagues to investigate and address employee grievances
  • Partner with internal and external resources to craft, implement and facilitate D&I education, workshops, experiences and discussions to improve cultural awareness, increase inclusivity and understanding of inclusion and diversity topics.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Required Experience
  • 7-10 years' experience in Human Resources or Talent Management that includes designing, implementing and measuring diversity and inclusion programs
  • Skilled in translating external and internal trends into innovative and creative practices
  • Experience with project management, strategic operations, strategy consulting, and designing data-driven diversity program strategies
  • Experience with research and data analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, design, implement and execute programs
  • Ability to link DEI into company objectives, including making a business case for systemic investments
  • Experience liaising with HR driving diversity results
  • Strong interpersonal communication, facilitation, influencing, conflict management and people leadership
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations for all levels
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective coach, facilitator and consultant
  • Ability to influence and affect organizational change.
  • Talent Management and/or Organizational Development practices and programs
